Diarrhea before weaning is very common. In fact, apart from our various feeding management, it has a lot to do with sows. Because in this period of time, piglets have to take breast milk from sows, so if there is a problem with the milk of sows, it may also cause diarrhea of piglets. Most of the possible causes of diarrhea in piglets are:
1. The content of immune antibody in milk of sows is less. Therefore, although the piglets are full of drinking, they are not fully immune protected, so they are prone to pathogenic diarrhea. Therefore, the sows should be supplemented with enough amino acids one month before delivery.
2. The amount of milk for sows is insufficient. If piglets don't eat enough, they won't get enough antibodies and are prone to infection. That's why piglets without milk or with less milk are prone to diarrhea.
3. Sow milk is not nutritious. Nutrition and immune antibody are not the same thing. The growth of pigs requires multiple nutrients. Healthy breast milk should be comprehensive. However, if there is a problem in the feeding of sows during lactation, the nutritional content of milk will be greatly reduced or unbalanced, leading to nutritional diarrhea of piglets.
4. The milk of sick sows contains pathogenic factors. Sows often have inflammation after childbirth. When it is serious, this inflammatory product will affect the milk. Piglets will have non pathogenic diarrhea after eating. If it is not found for a long time, it will even die.
Therefore, if you want to cultivate healthy piglets, don't forget to work hard on the sows, so that the production efficiency of the healthy piglets farm can continue to improve.
