有些养殖户在猪价上涨的时候，为了让猪只更快地生长，提前出栏，盲目地加大浓缩料的配入。这样会使饲料中的蛋白质增高，但能量却降低了，蛋白质不能被猪只充分地利用吸收，反使猪只产生消化不良，甚拉稀的现象。这种欲速则不达的方式是不可取的。还有一些养殖户，在猪价低迷的时候，为了降低成本而减少浓缩料的配入。这样易造成营养素的缺乏，致使猪只生长受阻，发育不良。料肉比的饲料比值增大，不但成本降低不了，反而会升高，造成得不偿失的结果。
